Where we stand

We don't endorse gambling. We don't judge it either.

TaxBet is a tax-documentation tool. We don't take bets, we don't send you to anyone who does, and we don't care whether you play. We care about one thing: that when you file, the numbers reflect what actually happened.

If you're going to bet, know the rule.

Gambling winnings are taxable income. That's true when you win for the year, and it's true when you lose for the year. Every jackpot, every big hit, gets reported to the IRS — your losses don't. Unless you itemize deductions and keep records that hold up, you can finish a losing year owing tax on wins you no longer have. Starting with 2026 returns, federal law limits the losses you can deduct to 90% of what you lost, so even careful itemizers can owe tax on a losing year.

Nobody tells you this when you sign up. We're telling you now.

What we do about it.

TaxBet turns your own transaction records into the documentation the tax code has always expected you to keep: a session-by-session ledger, reconciled to the forms the IRS already has, computed under a documented methodology with the authorities cited. It gives you and your tax professional the full picture of what happened, in the form that stands up when someone asks.

We don't file your return. We don't tell you which position to take. We don't promise an outcome. We document — carefully, completely, and in a way you can hand to a professional or an examiner without flinching.

What we don't do.

If gambling has stopped being a choice.

Documentation isn't the answer to that, and we'd rather lose a customer than pretend it is. Free, confidential help is available 24/7: call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, or chat at ncpgambling.org. Every state's online operators also offer deposit limits, timeouts, and self-exclusion; use them.
